Description
One of the spirits I have been strongly connected with since my childhood. I felt an urge to pay homage to her today.In case you don't know Bastet/Bast is a protector. She watches over Cats, woman, children, and even childbirth. She's also known to watch the home and protect from disease and evil spirits. Also associated with oils and perfumes, she reminds to take time to make ourselves feel good, with the luxuries of life. Bastet/Bast is also said to show us to take life as it comes, and never to seriously. She teaches us to sway with it meeting its challenges with grace and ease. She shows us how to look inward and accept all of ourselves and see ourselves for all the beauty that we are. She is a very precious spirit/deity to me.

I swear I was a cat in a previous life and if reincarnation exists, I want to come back as one. Lol. But seriously, I have always loved her and I like the silly nature she is portrayed as in the Rick Riordan series of books, not Percy Jackson but the other series, I forgot the titles.

Oh I hear ya. Bastet idea one of the goddess I work with a lot and has been by my side through a lot when I was growing up.
Side note, my brother used to think he was part cat. My mom always had to force him to stop eating cat food

Pretty much just my trust and love for all that she has done for me. I have battled depression all my life and she has stood by me through it all. Her gifts I have relieved with an open heart. It's just a way to thank her and show my love for her blessings.

Well, personally, when ever I had trouble reaching her, it was because I was invoking her through the wrong...power? For lack of a better word. For instance, Bastet is one of the only deities who is worshipped with both the sun and moon. I have found that you connect with the suns energy differently then the moons energy. Try to connect with her with a different energy. She is playful and sometimes spend more time on one side of the energy spectrum then the other. If you see what I mean. I hope I am explaining this right

Okay thanks I will try that. I don't exactly know I'm using specific energy when I call her. Typically I try connecting at night but I see her more associated to the sun. So not sure which aide of spectrum that will fall under.

How beautiful! Bastet is my patron deity, and I have always prayed to her in my times of need. She has always treated me very well, and it's always wonderful to see someone else who works with her and shares a strong connection with her. <3

That's awesome! Artio its my patron but I am strongly connected to Bastet. She has been by my side for years. I have had an affinity for felines almost all my life. I was the person that could go up to the grumpy neighborhood stray that wouldn't let anyone touch it and hold it and cuddle with it.
