Description
I dug around for one of lightsticks and flicking it on, I locked it inside a small lantern I brought from home. The atmosphere in this area was very daunting, not only was it pitch black, I was in unfamiliar terrain. Growing tired, I nestled deep into one of the large fleshy “rings” of the cave with my lantern to supply me light. Not the most ideal place to sleep… it was squishy, yes, but thick bands and drops of slime clung every which-where. Even though I could swim, there was the lingering fear that I’d drown.
I doubt anyone from my area traversed this far and probably for good reason. As if being inside this behemoth wasn’t bad enough, there was also uncertainty of OTHER monsters living inside him.

I curled up and stared at the lantern in front of me. Right now, its light was the only thing providing me solace.

Oh hey, some endo! Along with an excerpt of a short story I was doing. The Prometheus soundtrack's been a PERFECT inspiration for this.

Context for this scenario? It's a verse where Serge (along with his race and many many others) lives inside a planet-eater. As no one knows what the beast that consumes them even remotely is or what it looks like, the boy decides to take a journey to find out some answers. So in this little bit, he's travelling up the massive throat of the creature, which is akin to a cave-system with who-knows-what lurking around in there. He's still got a loooong ways to go.

I forgot how fun monochrome/inked speedpaints are. I should totally do more of these at some point...
