I love carousel horses, they are so pretty. I have one question though, why does this one have cleft (split) hoofs?

It's supposed to have parts of unicorn in it. One thing unicorns have are cloven hooves (depending on what information you are looking at), same with the tail, it's like a lions tail, except for hair at the tip.
