Someone asked me if I could draw Daria and Jane in the style of "Moonbeam City" so I decided to give it a shot. I've never seen the show myself but I loved the 80s aesthetic and the theme song is chill so there's that. My favorite part about this was the fact that the show is in flat color which meant I didn't have to spend hours agonizing over shading!Related content

This is great! They look, er, self-confident, for once, you can sort of see why they don't have a ton of friends.
Actually, I think this is BETTER than a lot of your other stuff, don't bother with agonizing over shading ever again, you've found a style you're really really good at so go ahead and DO IT!

Thanks for the compliment but this isn't anything close to my personal style. I don't post a lot of original work here (because it's deviantART) but most of the fan art here is years old. There's a lot of variation as my style has changed pretty drastically in the past two years. I'm glad that it's 'better' but it's not a style I'm going to adopt because it isn't my own.
