I am just utterly floored by the ritualist grandeur you get to experience and be involved with!! Here in little ol' Adelaide, South Australia, our festivities are most humble in nature compared to what is expressed here in your piks
I love it!! It would surely take some time to organise such events? Would love something of this nature here for our Sabbats!!
We burnt our Wicker Man last nite...heading into Wyntre as we are...was a great nite, but would surely love something as elaborate as these...thankyou for sharing!!

The organisation for Beltane begins in February, with the main Open Meeting (when performers etc are recruited) being near the end of that month.
Performers (and photographers) spend about 2-3 sessions a week practising and/or preparing for the event, whilst organisers spend between 4-6 sessions a week.

wow!! Thanx for the link, I have now bookmarked your page for further perusal and insights!! I would love to gradually gather a few ideas and hopefully put together something as magnificent here in Adelaide!!! Its such a conservative town...needs a little shaking up I say!!

hehe, soz - it is an infra-red photograph and thus lacks colour - the blue & red tones I added to emphasis the fiery nature of the festival, and to represent the flaming torch light by which everyone was lit.

these new photos are really surreal, reminds of me iron maiden / the narnia books. completly weird. great pics though, your caught the right parts of it perfectly
