There are lots of special programs for it! Apophysis is pretty popular... Ultrafractal, mind boggling fractals and vchira are all pretty good too! Check out this website [link] for more fractal programs

Thanks Generally a combination of Apophysis, MBF, Vchira, GIMP and Paint.NET

This particular one was MBF and the GIMP
