Description
Mike and Evals meet for the first time, suggested by Menke.
Mike was born into slavery. Evals was captured. As a dog, Evals had been raised to believe that foxes weren't to be trusted, as there's a lot of hatred between fox and dog keidran in the wild. But at this point he didn't have much else to lose. Both would later go on to be sold to Eric's father as ship hands, and later inherited by Eric himself.

Mike and Evals are probably the two best side characters I've seen in a webcomic (Mike preferably my favorite). They both get along well and have no hatred for each other considering both tribes naturally dislike one another. Truly a friendship to be remembered throughout this webcomic and I personally hope to see more appearances of them. And I hope I'm not wrong, but did anybody else notice Mike's hair tie goes from a light blue to a pink?

I really enjoy these characters. Mike and Eric's relationship is a very rarely told story. A slave who obeys and respects his master and a master that treats his slaves fairly. I like that Tom knows that not every case of slavery was out of hate. Most of the time it was basically just an employment relationship.

With that kind of backstory its really strange to me that these two didn't hook up when they had their genders were swapped to make it happen.
