This is great! I studied Hebrew in college for three years, and have been thinking about getting a Hebrew tattoo, as well.
My mother in law has one that's her name phonetically.

Thanks for the comment, I am glad people like it, I am still trying to get the money together to get it, plus I am working on a larger piece for my leg, a knee to ankle sleeve type thing

Seeing as how "christ" was Jewish, i'd advise you to not get this tattoo. It's a Torah prohibition to tattoo your body. I don't think he'd be very pleased with you.
[I guess you could translate it at servant of messiah, but i think the spelling for servant (the word on the right) is a little off.

actually the place in the torah that says not to have a tattoo is a situational law, meant only for that place and time. this is due to that fact that the pagan tribes around them would mark their body with tattoos in practice to worship their false gods and Yahweh did not want his people to be associated with those of a false god. today that would be irrelevant b/c people today to not tattoo their body to show they belong to a false god but instead get them to either 1) show something/someone significant in their life 2) to fit in with their friends 3) to be artistic 4) b/c they like the pain and/or 5) just because. most people today have some sort of story behind their tattoos.
so yeah it was specifically for that time b/c of the other peoples around them at the time. God wanted them set apart for him alone and not to be associated (to even look like they belong) to someone else's god.

I would advise you to make sure you get some one who knows what they are doing when you get it written out, I had this done by two people before I finially got a professor to do it and the others were way off, no one wants the hebrew word for Canned Hamm on there body...well maybe some one does
