One of my recent commissions of a thing I didn't even know was a thing ... a buoy tree! I was sent a photo of a specific tree and asked if I'd be able to do something similar ...... definite nerves with this one as it was to be minimal, with bare branches to show off the 'floats'.
Went with carnelian gemstone beads for this one because the variation in colour was similar to the buoys in the photograph which went from deep orange to faded almost to white, and had fun wire wrapping little caps for them.

Buoy tree is such an interesting design - a combination of minimalism / definition of a specific object. I love the little buoys themselves

It was certainly a different one for me but I'm glad I did it. The buoys definitely made the tree ... loved making the little caps for them

They look like Chinese lanterns... And goes well with the fact that the tree is straight up and all silver!

Someone else said exactly the same! The client chose the wire colours and it did show off the beads very well.
