This is something I've been meaning to do for a while now. I had an old website from years ago where I had anime characters turned into kitties and you could adopt them on your website. (Back in the day when people made their own fansites. Those were good times.) The website has long since gone offline, but people keep dropping by, asking where they can find these graphics.Unfortunately, there's no place to find them any more except some random pics here and there still hanging around someone's old adoptables page. So here are most of the kitties I made during that time. This art is from the early 2000's and I pretty must posted them in alphabetical order as I have them in my files. There are some on here so old they were done in MS Paint. It's been really fun to see how my kitties have improved over the years.
I think the type of shows you see in this collection really date the whole project and you can see which series were on TV and popular at that time. Can you name them all? (There are some OCs in there, too) I don't know if I can even name them all any more.

Aaaah, I'm so happy you made this! I'm going through a lot of my old stuff from my teens, and I found some of these kitties that I had printed out on an exceptionally shitty printer. I loved these so much, and they really inspired me in my own artist journey. <3Β

Same here with ideas. Once in a very rare blue moon, one will pop up that I get really excited about. But that hardly ever happens anymore.

I have found that looking around in different places for inspiration can help with that. But also, sometimes the creative juices just need some time to rest and gather energy and you shouldn't be too hard on yourself or get frustrated when you're in this state. Just keep on swimming and keep your eyes open for something to spark your wonder. It's out there.

π±π― Ghost's kitties... I sure missed them...
I made a search on a whim last night, and this came up. I had fun looking for familiar kitties, and spotting new (to me) kitties of familiar characters. Good show for the Studio Ghibli ones. I felt really happy to see my two favorite kitties since I'd come across your site so long ago - Hikaru and Duo; I remember the original sleeping Duo Kitty, and just adore him. I tried to locate the Relena Kitty glomping grumpy Heero Kitty, but I had no luck.
I am going to try and "adopt" them into my digital diary.
Um, um, would it be okay to put the two favorite kitties into a personal necklace, as I love them so much. I know they're not real kitties, but I still feel weirdly attached to them. I'd credit you, of course, but it's nice to ask - I just want them for myself. I understand you were given grief due to art-theft... I get so annoyed when I find nice pieces of art where the girl is badly edited with Paint so as to be their OC... There's nothing wrong with OCs, but don't steal/butcher other people's hard work to show him/her. Designing is a creative process, and if one can't draw said design(s), that's where commissions come in...
You know what would be cute? Turning these kitties into sticker sheets. I can't imagine a neater way to spruce up a journal - in my case, manuscripts. Or even to decorate tablets. I know I'm a dork - for crying out loud, I still love Links the Microsoft Assistant cat, and I just love the animated Felix from the cat food commercials. No one can beat my dorkness...
I'm going to see if I spot more kitties now.
BTW Your kitties inspired me to eventually commission for plushies and vinyl dolls of characters similar to this concept. Of course, that's for the future, but I can't thank you enough for sharing your darling kitties with us. I love them lots.

Hi! It's nice to see people pop up out of the woodwork to look at these. I haven't drawn a new anime kitty for years and years. I did once sell them as stickers waaaay back in the day. And if you want to use any of these for a personal craft to make for yourself, that's totally fine.

Oh, thank you! I am not sure if I already said it, but recently I got ideas to commission for plushies of characters, but in a kitty-style similar to yours. Letβs face it, a mascot shelf wouldnβt be complete without a Duo-kitty to keep some mischief going. (Yes, I have a mascot shelf, but I actually need a mascot cabinet. Iβm obsessed with them)

My Armitage Kitty was one of my favorites, too. No, I never did Bubblegum crisis. It has been years and year since I did these kitties. But it was a lot of fun while I was doing it and I sure drew a ton of them.

OKAY SO back in my weeb days I searched "anime kitties" on Google and found this website. I was ecstatic and loved them so much I printed out the ones from animes I knew.
Here's a picture of my door all those years ago (the other pic being my current door for reference). I also had some on my locker at school!
