Heh, not really a threesome. This is Sanzo and Hakkai from Saiyuki with my fan made character, Maiyo. I want to do a Saiyuki doujinshi sometime with her in it. But first, I'm waiting for my script to be perfect. Right now, it's very....not perfect. This is the first time coloring Maiyo, though I already knew as soon as I drew her what colors she'd be. I usually don't like having fanmade characters with the same hair color as the main cast. It makes them look related or something. But Maiyo's design begged her to be a blonde and she is NOT related to Sanzo. I tried to make their hair look different shades of blonde the best I could.And, wow, I actually put a background to this one! It was air brushed in photoshop at about two in the morning, but it came out okay, I guess. There's a pic of Maiyo with Gojyo and Goku, but I looked at it the other night and it wasn't as great as I remembered it. Maybe if I can fix it up, I'll post it later.

Nicely done with the perspective here. It's always a pain in the ass to draw people from behind like Sanzo here, but you managed it.

I like the character. She's very cute. I'm all for the canon pairings in Saiyuki, but some good, off-canon OC action is always fine in my book, and she's quite lovely. This reminds me... I must go read Saiyuki Reload Blast's two chapters..

I really don't see the resemblance asside from they're both blondes. And Maiyo's prettier. J/K

I think the foreground should have gotten sharper in terms of the airbrushed bg. I think that's my only criticism. I really love Maiyo's pose.

I think my favorite Saiyuki bish is Kougaiji. But I'm also a YaonexKougaiji fan. As for the four main guys, I think I just like them all the same. It's just not right unless they're all together. ^.^
And I think I might take you up on that trade. Sounds like fun!

Hakkai is the easiest for me to draw from Saiyuki. Sanzo is the hardest. I don't think I've ever drawn a pic of him that I've completely liked. His design is so freaking hard! Hakkai, however, I dunno....he's just easy for me. But I'm sure every artist has their list of characters that are hard to draw and characters that are easy.

Ooo, Sayuki fan art ^___^ Great job, love those perfect, clean lines. The background actually fits pretty well but the blurryness seems to contrast the super crisp forground mainly near Hakkai... but, backgrounds are annoying, we all know XD
As for the chara design, since you wanted to have her hair be different, why not make it either lighter or put some highlights (of any color, including light/dark blond). Another idea, make it more orangey, such as a pale or pastel orange.

It looks fine! But, I guess the old saying goes 'you are always your own worst critic'. I like the look on Sanzo's face. He looks kinda confused, yet his tough guy expression as well. I really gotta get some Saiyuki dvd's too! *cries* I'm so anime dvd deprived!
o.o eh... moving on with the comment. Your character's hair looks fine. The color doesn't exactly match, and I don't think brunette would have suited her too much really. Blonde is a very common hair color, so it works. Nothing to be upset about ^^
and the background looks terrific too! X3 I near laughed when I saw the title of the peice but I understand it now. Great job, Ty-chou! This makes me want to draw Saiyuki art... though I know hardly anything of it o.o; :claps:
