I originally wasn't gonna post this, but I feel I need to share it.

I actually have been making albums for myself, with pitched-up songs by various female pop stars, and pretending that Aphro-Maxine sang them. This one is the same, but has a special, more solemn purpose.

So going through the list of female pop songs, I started to notice a trend with one particular artist and how much of a match she was to Aphro-Maxine's bimbo style: Ke$ha. (Old Ke$ha, but I'll get to that...)

After I had filled both albums with a good number of Kesha songs, I decided to watch some more Todd in the Shadows, since I was on a pop kick, and I watch his "Top 10 Best Hits of 2017 part 1" video, and I get hit with the truth like a bad hangover from partying too much: Ke$ha's persona was forced on her by her abusive manager. (Slowpoke, I know, but there's a reason I stay way from the news)

I was heartbroken and pissed off. This is the second time such abuse had ruined my enjoyment of a pop icon, first with Countess Coloratura (Even though she's fictional) and now Kesha. I mean, I'm glad both got rid of their dickhead managers, but I actually enjoyed their previous personas, and the fact that such dickery was responsible makes their previous work so much harder to stomach, or at the very least there is the lingering feeling that enjoying such things is wrong, even though I do enjoy them.

So as tribute to both Coloratura and Kesha becoming free, as well as to help myself cope irl, I made a tribute single for Aphro-Maxine: a "cover" of Sia's "Titanium." Due to the seriousness of this situation, Aphro-Maxine decided to be the most modest she'll probably ever be, as a symbol of respect for the two artists, and as a reminder that even party bimbos like her have a brain and can use it well. Don't worry about her future career though. I'm sure she'll be back to perky and positive in the future with the rest of her music.
