This was just something to do while I sat here drifting around with the flu (there was only so much lying down I could handle). I'm actually really pleased at how the hair came out. Trying something a little different with the coloring.So I'm going to go hit the sack after uploading this. I have strong doubts about being able to make it to work, but stubborn-ass New Yorker self is still wanting to try. Like a boss

This looks beautiful, especially how you coloured the hair, though the lips could be a little less "fat", and be a little wider and "thinner".
(I have no idea how else to say it. Tall?)

woo.. yeah that was some old shit. Β I'm forever trying to find a style. Getting close. Β That one here from two years ago took way too long to color because of the technique Β I was trying. Β Totally agree with you about the lips though. Β the quasi-realism doesn't work when most of the otner details are anime/manga based

Small tip- don't try to change your art style. I have mine, but every time I "improve", my art style changes... yet again, I am not satisfied.
(Or that rule only applies for me).

The eyes and the hair look wonderful. Shape of the face looks good as well. I think maybe the nose is too face on when this is more 3/4 view and same with the lips but otherwise I'd say she's looking excellent.

actually it isn't. It's blending colors together, dabs of the main color with some darker and some lighter shades and blur them together. It does take longer as I build up the color layer until its the color I want and not washed out looking like with most digital watercoloring.
I would take a nap but someone ordered something online that's supposed to be delivered today. Not about to break my neck groggily getting the door XD
