Got bored, did some painting, this is the result. Not one of my better ones but I feel like I'm really getting my technique down. Let me know what you think about it.Hand painted in Photoshop, about 7 hours
No textures, photos, or fractals.

Can I use your stunning space pics for a personal project of mine. I'm creating a sci-fi universe set 6,000 years from now for a novel I'm planning, and I'm putting together a guide to characters, other people, history, places, planets etc... that I can use whilst writing (it's like a "series bible").
The guide will be for my own use only during writing and won't be published, and any art used will have the names of those who created them attached to them.
I will understand completely if you say no.

I don't know what it is about it, but it brings me in. I honestly didn't realise that it was a painting dude. Now thats when you know it's true art. Love it! Hope you don't mind me using it for a Visual Communication Assignment, all credit will obviously go to you! I'll tell my teacher to check your work out, he will love it haha

Art, to me, is anything that invokes a response in the viewer. I like making space art because, it's universal. Normally when we say that, it means anybody on this planet should know what it is. But with this, if any other intelligent beings (not human) were to look at this, they could still relate to it in a way. It makes you wonder, in ways other art can't. I'm really happy you like it, and flattered that you didn't realize it was painted. Feel free to use this for your assignment. Tell your teacher, tell your friends, family, loved ones, that guy that's always walking his dog down the street, and you really wanna pet it, you just never had the chance. Tell him too. Thanks

Hey if someone stole this and put on public domain on Google with no name or identifying markings on it... How would I know it was yours? Just curious. Also do you settle your disputes with people like a man or are you more of a "run and tell the teacher", kind of a guy. Just wondering. The painting is awesome. The artist?

There's nothing I can do about people stealing my art and uploading with my signature cropped off, other than not putting my art online. Which defeats the purpose of my art. If you'd like to know a handy trick, you can upload a picture to Google and then search for sites where that image appears. It's cool if you want to be honest and see if there's an artist behind the image you're using. In most situations where my art is used without my permission, I contact the other person and ask them to remove the image. I also file a DCMA take down request to ensure that if the other person ignores my request, the site host will remove the image.
I'm a professional artist and I've done commercial art for clients all of the world. People pay for my work so that others cant use it, I have to stop use of it where I can.
Also, you don't know a thing about me. So please be respectful if you feel the need to add your two cents. Deviant art isn't for taking stabs at other artist.

My painting is nowhere near your calibre, my friend. I wish I could find my source on google, but it looked like a photo, was in the pub. domain, and had no signature on it. You might want to search yourself, and see if you can find it.

This is the best thing ever <3 I fell in love with it from the first sight and set it as my desktop background. Now we've changed computer and for some dumb reason I haven't saved this art, and had to search on the net for an hour or so, but couldn't give up until I found it. I actually recognize this particular nebula from some Hubble telescope pictures. Did you base this picture on any NASA images or is it an original design?
