Photoshop 6-10 hours.Heres Mullins my latest character design. He is never far from that mysterious satchel he carries- what is in it anyway?
I spent 2 days sketching out his city and countryside, which I will present when I feel it is ready. Then came this guy. He went through 7 or so different versions hope you like this one. Most of my character designs will be presented in this format from now on as I need some consistency.
As i get spare time I will be developing his side kick and composing a complete illustration featuring him.

the chara design is really nice and the textures are great (I especially like the sorta jacket), still I find it a bit sad that the concept art looks so cool and the rest of the layout is that plain and kinda raw... I think it could look more like intended if the text was really hollow, here it looks a bit like you didn't know how to work out the levels to get a clear white bg or tried to fool us with a fake hollow font... I'm aware these are details and maybe I'm focusing on them too much but it's just to say it in case it could help.
Honestly I can't wait to see more about this work, it looks really interesting

He is COOL. Reminds me of a poison arrow frog. Is this digital? The outfit sort of looks that way, but the texture on the skin looks almost like a lot of layers of watercolor.

thanks so much. Im working on his side kick now which takes me forever to design cause Im picky about my characters. As for his culture, that is still early in development i have 6 sketches though.
