Description
First flown during the Martian Independence War in 2098, the flag represents both the Martian spirit and great historic importance. A symbol used by Martian Nationalist as they fought against their mother country (China), and became the flag of the Republic of Mars. After the Great War and the collapse of the Republic, the flag has fallen from official use to a patriotic use. The red represents Mars as the former red planet and the blood spilt during the Independence War. The green represents the terraforming of the planet after human were flung on the planet during the Apocalypse War. The blue represents the finishing of the terraformation project.
