2nd episode of the series Rat. I've put so much into this animation, from writing the music, to designing and painting the backgrounds and of course the animation too. I thought I'd never see the day I finally uploaded this to NG.I really hope you enjoy it c:

Ok it's good, but next time you could work a little harder to make the animation smoother, and the audio abit more understandable, so you won't need subtitles.^^

Very cool animation even though I think I prefer the first episode because it had more action, this one has more atmosphere and has some nice camera shots - excellent!

wow! its been a long time : D hows things? Origionally episode hade more going on but I had to chop the episode in half so it didnt run for too long. Using the 2nd half for the begining of episode 3 which has a pretty awsome chase seqence in it, but its probably a long way from being completed. I still have my univertity animation to complete too, but theres a lot I'd want to touch up on that animation.

Im fine im doing my MA in Cardiff at the uni of glamorgan where im working on another short film. So what are u doing for uni? r u still at wolverhampton? Cant wait to see the 3rd episode!

Cool : D I graduated last year and have since been doing various different things since, some illustrations and a few animations. I've been working on something with other animators on a project thats being directed by Don Bluth and will be working with a person who lives locally who worked on The Secret of Nimh on a different project.

depends what kind of bagkrounds you need really, I can do these kind of city skapes but I havent yet tried other different types of background. I should really try as many different settings as possible though.. perhaps its time to get photoshop open again and just doodle something.

I loved it, but I really hate to say that compared to what I've seen of your colouring and characters, your human character is a tad disappointing. Its like putting a 2D person in a wonderfully created 3D world. Thats my ONLY complaint. Other than that- flawless.

the animation work is very impressive.. i love the backgrounds and the ambient soundtrack. i am getting a bit lost in the story.. maybe i need to watch the frist again!

It was longer, I animated an additional 3 minutes but I felt I needed to lower the time length because people suggested that 5 minutes was a good time length for an animated short. The last 3 minutes had a chase scene between two characters, but I'm going to include some additional scenes to move the story along faster.

I really like the shading in this one, this is great work, and I'm kicking myself for being upset over how short this is, considering the amount of time it has taken you to do.

Very intense. Great mix of moody and hyperkinetic moments. I like how you were able to do so much with so little in some of the sequences.

Well what is there to say? Superb backgrounds, superb animation. The story is original and the audio is pretty different. I think I'll vote 5 on NG for ya.
