Description
This is the first sketch I've done in a long time of Duke L'Orange. He's always been my favorite character from Disney's "Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series" (which debuted in 1996). It's a real shame they don't show it anywhere anymore. It was a great show.

Okay, for those of who who have no clue who he is, he's formerly known as the galaxy's greatest jewel thief. However, once the villian Dragaunus and his men invaded and took over his homeworld of Puckworld, he found that he could use his talents for good. He acted as sort of the "Robin Hood" of that period, before finally joined up with the Rebellion to oust Dragaunus. This placed him on the same team as fellow rebels Tanya (tech whiz), Mallory (one tough cookie, daughter of a military officer), Grin (the big, strong one), Wildwing (friend to the leader), Canard (leader of the Rebellion), and Nosedive (Wildwing's teenage 'baby brother').

They ended up chasing Dragaunus' ship through a dimensional gateway and finally landed on planet Earth (in Anaheim, California, to be exact). In the process, they lost the leader Canard to a gateway worm, which probably trapped him in limbo for an indefinate period. The Ducks, as well as Dragaunus and his crew, became trapped on Earth. The Ducks became hockey players by day and crime fighters by night. To do so, they built a secret headquarters under the hockey arena itself.

Duke became pretty much the conscience of the group after awhile. He's the one who convinced them to help the humans in fighting evil. He can be really gung-ho most of the time, which doesn't make him a very good leader (lol), but he's got a good head on his shoulders and talent to match it. He has a pretty good sense of humor as well. And, not to mention, he has a really awesome lightsaber-like sword. XD That's always a plus. Hehe.

Back when he was a thief, he was part of the group the "Brotherhood of the Blade" and most fans, including myself, theorize that's how he lost his right eye. Nobody really knows what happened. It's never mentioned in the series.

Personally, my favorite Duke feature is his hair. Lol. Isn't it cool? It defies gravity! He sure must pay alot for hairgel.

Anyways, I might color this sometime. ^_^
