Description
The surreal landscape of Terra from Final Fantasy IX featuring Zidane and Kuja.The game really doesn't spend enough time there, nor are there enough reference pictures findable. Another picture based on Terra/ Bran Bal is in progress.

This is a great pic. I love the fact that Zidane and Kuja are so small, we get to see more of this awesome landscape.

This is absolutely gorgeous. You did a great job capturing the alien atmosphere of Terra, and I think the size you chose to show Zidane and Kuja at works really well. The shading is just amazing... I love the crosshatching on old parchment effect.

I think some of the parchment effect came from some photoshop effects I added.

No the paper was actually off white and I used a normal fineliner felt tip pen with a bit of pencil for the clouds. The colour comes from photoshop.

Gorgeous alien landscape. I like how the little figures and clouds give it scope and depth. That part of the game was so brief and bittersweet, for sure.

Terra is my favorite part of the game. The clouds in the picture were quite impromptu, I didn't know what I was going to do for the sky until it was done. I have another picture of Terra up, this time in colour if you're interested.

Oooh, I really like it ^^ Especially how it's mainly focused on Terra as opposed to just showing Zidane and Kuja. You have a really good detail for backgrounds, I'm kinda envious

Putting a lot of detail in the background can be a bad thing at times, especially if it's not the main focus of the picture. It's fine in this picture but, really, it's a bad habbit that needs working on.
There'll probably be a coloured version, not of this picture but still of Terra, sometime around Christmass.
