Description
This little creature and it's rider are from a Hellenistic fantasy story/fictional travalouge called 'True History' written by Lucian of Samosata in the second century AD. The story follows a ship wrecked Greek who's ship ends up on the moon and the ensuing adventures. Think something along the lines of Guillivar's Travels. The dog acorns are only a one line mention but the idea of dog-faced warriors riding around on flying acorns is just too cute. Another translation of their name that I've seen is 'puppycorns'.
Ink and watercolour. I'd done the line art before moving house and forgotten about it until just now.
