Description *unintelligible communist noises*

And not to get stuck on the Northerners, here's the "revamp" of the Dubrovzkan stormtrooper. I use quotations, because the Dubrovzkans need probably the least of work. They were pretty simple before. Just a new pair of boots and - because no self-proclaimed civilized nation would embarass it's best with the lack of pomp - a little helmet ornament, made of the beard of common Dubrovzkan goats. Points for trying though.

UURRAAA!!!! (*unintelligible communist noises* I almost died.) Goat beard plumes... not without class I must say. Good drawing as usual... it's got a lot of motion in it!

To quote an unkown german machinegunnner from CoH2 "What the fuck does URA means?" Yeah, they have to imitate the hated imperialists a little at least, if they want to wash the mark of barbarism and backwardness off their cause. Not as good as feathers, but points for trying.

And thank you.

well, the goat beard kind of adds a cultural element to the Dubrovzkan.... it's somthing the rest of the world just shrugs off but it's important to them.

Indeed. Goats are simple and plentiful (especially in Dubrovzka), such as workers. If there must be some pomp, what could be more fitting?

Well, the commies deserve some love every now and then, I suppose. God knows they don't get much from me.

Yeah, it good to be more motivated to draw again, regardless how fleeting it usually is.

Well, I suppose your not much to have sympathy for us "Bolsheviks" but you still choose to tolerate me imma right?

It has been a while since I've drawn again but my fiancé did leave me so I'm pretty sure I have enough time now.

Well, I'm still answering.

And marvelous, that frees up time and maybe even give the necessary emotional push for one to draw a little.

Still wondering how Though.

But yes, returning to drawing has really helped me cope creating characters for my problems and anxieties also with the fact that a certain "friend" have given me inspiration to continue.

I usually use a keyboard to write down my thoughts on the platform of DeviantART and thanks to the marvel of the internet, I'm able to send it even across the pond. Pretty nifty, how I do it, eh?

Well, art has it's own meaning and purposes to everyone. But I suppose you need more inspiration, because your latest upload was made in 2017.

*Bolshevik silence*

I guess so. Well I do have my highs and lows of inspiration but its the belief of "I'm not good enough" floats in my mind here and there, but as I wondered your page and dug up some old pieces of yours it really helped me gain confidence to pick up the pen

Well, glad to hear that, even though I don't think you'll ever get rid of that belief or any developing artist do. It has to be the bedrock of drawing. But practice is the only way forward, to think what crap I used to make back then.

Well its inevitable to have that certain mindset, but the best I could do is prove my thoughts wrong. I took a whole break from drawing  since my life began to pick up work and many other things have didn't really have time to draw of pick up the pen. Well I did grow up around you and levs older pieces so I have a good idea of advancements

Well, I hope you shall. You bolsheviks are usually bombarding the people with bad edits and other lousily cut together propaganda. If it must exist, then it would be swell to see some proper art for a change.

Of course life isn't always hammer and sickles and knock off Soviet OCs, creativity is key to improvement. I am trying to shed my former Soviet fanboy mentality for a more open approach

I would say that I'm suprised, but I would lie. Leftists ideals are a straw flame no matter the form. They burn fast and bright, but quick.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. What makes you want to shed that mentality and where you wish to sail your ship?

Pretty much, But only if the flame is fed could a bonfire be birthed. Well I started to see that the whole Reds Vs Greys  communists vs fascists was over done I began to read up on partisans form other corners of the world from the Spartacist uprising to the insurgents in Chechnya, I want to portray these small resistance movements before they held any threat such as the Bolsheviks during the civil war and revolution. I as well want to show the white army or these counter communist forces and what they stood for, the stories no one talks about.

Jokes aside I like how this one turned out, the pose has a lot of motion and expression to it, and it's interesting to see the water cooled SMGs again.
I also like the minor additions to the helmet such as the feather and the symbol.

Thank you. I'm tryting to experiment with movement nowadays. My comfort zone really was cemented by the lot of designs in the last year.
Yeah, they didn't needed much, but they deserve a little feather and a half assed communist symbol of their own. I really didn't had better idea for it and I didn't wanted to use the red star.

Well, only the best. The rest make do with their standard issued uniforms in all the wonderful shade of dirt. I mean they always can strap pieces of metal to themselves with looted belts, but I doubt it would worth it.
