Terebigemu Sentai DigivolgerHe calls himself the Enigmaster, Lord of Riddles. An utterly insane supervillain wanted for over several accounts of burglary, extortion, kidnapping, cyber crime......and attempted murder. Known for leaving clues to his crimes as if to taunt anyone trying to stop him, prides himself on being the smartest person in the world, actually believes he is bettering society by "forcing them to think", and yes is most absolutely the kind of man who accuses anyone who bests him of cheating.....despite being a notorious cheater himself. Though his crimes have been stopped, he has yet to be caught.

His latest crimes have taken a turn for the worst, having gotten access to a reverse engineered imperfect version of a strange technology known only as "The Morphing Grid". Though but a mere fake copy of the genuine article, it is no less powerful or dangerous, able to let him bring to life that which was only make believe. Craft entire constructs and mini worlds made of ones and zeroes that become real matter on our plane of existence. With this he has upped the design of his vile death trap puzzles to unprecedented levels. And with these new deadly puzzles cropping up at alarming rates, he has forced Interpol's hand in creating their own breed of Power Rangers to combat his newfound power.

And unlike him, the Morphing Grid they utilize is the genuine article...

DIGIVOLUTION PLAYER RED- Tai Shoubu
Japanese American. One of Interpol's top agents, probably the smartest man in the whole organization. Of all the bloodhounds chasing the Enigmaster down, Tai has gotten the closest to sinking his teeth in several times. He lives by the mantra that being a super genius comes with great responsibility, a duty to use one's high intellect for the betterment of mankind and the planet, not to squander it on such petty selfish pursuits as being a super criminal. As such he despises the Enigmaster, and as you can guess the feeling is mutual. Nay, the Enigmaster wants nothing more than to kill Tai in such a manner that it will prove he was always the smartest of the two.

DIGIVOLUTION PLAYER BLUE- Chrysta Graize
African American. A die hard gamer and all around nerd who almost fell prey to one of Enigmaster's latest traps. But he made the mistake of targeting someone who was just as much a nerd as he was, cause not only did she solve it by herself, she even saved the others trapped with her. This has firmly put her on Enigmaster's death list something fierce, not to mention impressing even Tai himself prompting him to deputize her. No doubt many of the deathly puzzles to come will be loaded with even more nerd culture....

DIGIVOLUTION PLAYER YELLOW- Zackery McKree
Scottish. To call him Tai's partner in Interpol is underselling it, he is the Riggs to Tai's Murtaugh. When Tai's high intellect and calm logic is not enough, Zack is there to provide the knuckleheaded chaos and raving unpredictability. And just like Tai, he finds it abhorrent that a smart guy like Enigmaster would just waste his high intellect by being a complete wanker who makes everyone's lives miserable just for kicks. In fact, he and the super criminal have some past history involving a close loved one that fell prey to the evil genius' senseless cruelty.

No I have not seen Kamen Rider Ex-Aid proper, but this is more or less the same idea. Also I decided to recycle some older PR designs here. If you're curious about the helmets, Red is a CD-Rom Disc Drive, Blue is an old cassette tape deck (yes there are old video games that were played on cassettes) and Yellow is a Famicom like top loader.

Speaking of Red, I've found it quite odd that despite the source material that Power Rangers is based on, we have yet to see a Red Ranger who is at least Chinese if not Japanese. They've always been bridesmaids, never the bride. I mean for Primus' sake, Jayden Shiba from PR Samurai is freakin' white despite having his sentai counterpart's sir name! Brah!

As for the Enigmaster, well, yeah he would just be the Riddler. Specifically the Arkham Asylum game version of the Riddler. Because just being an evil villain wouldn't be enough to make him loathsome....
