Description
Claws: Warrior markings possessed by all military ranks from soldier to general. Claws can be small and found only on the arm or stretching up the forearm, and in the shape of lines, curves, or chevrons. Whorls or dots alone to not count as Claws unless accompanying the previous three.
Mantle: Warrior markings separating the officers from the soldiers. While all of warrior rank are given the same basic training, those bearing the Mantle are specifically groomed for leadership. (Those who prove incapable often mar their own markings in shame, while a soldier who proves himself a skilled leader in battle may have Mantle markings scarred or tattooed on him by other officers.) The Mantle can be made of any pattern save dots alone so long as it covers the upper/lower back and into the tail.
Ring: Royal markings found on the upper arm. When not paired with the Wing markings, Ring often represents relatives of the royal line, such as the descendants of the King’s brother for several generations. Bearers of the Ring and other major markings without the Wing often rule cities, outposts, and colonies on other worlds under the King’s command.
Wings: Priest markings made up of any pattern (save dots alone) that cover the sides and at least part of the back. Wings are a rare pattern leading to the small number of priests and their status over warriors.
Heart: Artisan markings of any pattern found on the front of the body between the upper chest and the navel. Despite not ranking highly among the social statuses, the Lebrin believe that the center of any society are the creators, hence the significance of the Heart markings.
Waves: Royal markings found on the hind legs. this rare marking is only found on the King and male hairs, the pattern can be different for each individual but dots are never found.
