Description Better late than never. This is what Lorelei wore to the Welcoming Ball. As an in universe excuse for my own tardiness, you probably didn't see much of her there because she's hates parties and spent most of the evening supporting the wall.

Credits:
The blurred background photo was taken by Maffei-Albers Photography of the Queen Anne Mansion. You can check out both at: [link]

The texture for the dress was made using this tutorial for gimp: [link]

Update
A version without the background can be found in the Scraps section of my gallery.

Update the II
I fixed some minor coloring errors around the face and hair and added some shading.

Update the III
I added the scan of the original pencil lineart to my Scraps section as a well if anyone cares to see what it originally looked like before being digitally improved.

Thanks. I just added a link in the description to the tutorial that helped me make the texture, if you're at all interested.

((That's a very nice dress. The design and color match the character! ))

(Pretty sparkly dress. ^^ Much prettier than Dominic's. I bet she blended well with the wall in that because it's so dark. I also like how her hair is done up~ ))

I've been trying to give her more than just one hairstyle; characters whose appearance never changes is a minor pet peeve of mine.
I made the dress using a tutorial for gimp on making fields of stars.
Ironically, Lorelei likes dressing well but is uncomfortable with the attention it draws. It's probably the thing that will help her the most in getting out of her shell.

(( When I was younger it always bothered me how anime character's clothes never changed, so they like wore the same thing every day. *looks at her own character* I think you've just inspired me to try drawing Dominic with a different hair style, so thank you! You made the dress in Gimp? I'm impressed~ I have that program but I'm fail at it so I never use it. ))

I think it makes sense for some characters like soldiers in uniforms or superheroe/villains who have a colorful costume to have the same appearance, but it kind of bugs me to see supposedly ordinary characters with a closet of all the same thing.

I've been using Gimp for a while now and it has most of the same basic stuff that other paint programs have. It took a while for me to be comfortable enough to ink and color in the program. The pattern of the dress was actually a separate texture I made and inserted in. I added a link in the description to the tutorial that helped me make it.
