Description A moment, for the heartsore and weary...
Inspired a while ago (2 years ago!) by (fanfiction)Aryanne's Silver Cross ending--just that couch scene with the TV. After all the vampires and blood, it ended with a simple job and marriage...something everyday, but meaningful. I love her stories.

I just finished watching Seisouhen today on Youtube and I cried cried cried! I already knew Kenshin was going to die but I hate it! Why did a disease have to kill him? And I feel like everyone was ignoring Kenji, even Kaoru, because she gave herself that death sentence the night Kenshin left, unwilling to live for her son. What is this!!!

this is gorgeous.

i read your comment on 'seisouhen' and i'm sorry you were affected by that abomination. please understand the intent of watsuki nobuhiro-sama was a truly happy ending. some sony writer made up a story and adapted 'rk' characters to it, totally butchering the manga story of the 'jinchuu arc'. 'seisouhen' perverts the original message of integrity, hope, faith, and rising above one's past to achieve love, success and happiness.

the last 'rk' related work that watsuki-sama created was 'haru ni sakura', the japanese version can be found at: [link]
now there is your happy ending!

thank you for sharing your work.

Thanks for the link (and the compliment). I'd heard of haru ni sakura on another manga translation site (maigo-chan's?) but I'd never found the actual images before this. I managed to get Yahiko no Sakabatou in a Shounen Jump magazine I hunted down at Bookman's Used Bookstore, and that made me happy too. It's still a little unfulfilling, knowing that seisouhen still could have happened even then...but whatever. I'm living off fanfiction and alternate universes anyways

Since McAfee is KILLING my life on fanfiction, I can only give you the url to her other story, "Grocery Store" here (which is a cool story, by the way). If you go to the top and click Aryanne you will be at her author's page; from there Silver Cross should be at the bottom of her list of works.

As if I'm not 17 and cant handle T or M rated fics...parents...my God...

You have lovely RK art. I particularly like the inked Battousai piece. Out of curiousity, have you ever read the manga, because it has a very different ending than Seisouhen, and certainly a good deal happier. Seisouhen was produced off of someone else's ideas about how RK should end and I always had a problem with what they did. It always seemed so un-Kenshin-like that he'd just leave his wife to raise their son alone.

Thanks for the compliment! I actually bought all 28 volumes of RK throughout a period of 3 years, and I managed to find the complete anime in China at a really low price (28 yuan, around 3 dollars) so I know basically what happened. But just having SOMETHING out there with such suffering and pain, that hasn't really been refuted, just makes me kind of angry. Ah, well. Anyways, keep an eye out for Brother of Dragons, a digitally colored RK work I will probably have complete in another month or so.

On another note, I believe I have seen you on fanfiction before (but now I can't figure out if its Inuyasha or Ruroken related!), but now that McAfee Security is actively out to destroy my life, I can no longer access most of the stories on the website. But I'll be sure to keep an eye out anyways.

You would be correct. I've written both Inuyasha and RK actually, but primarily RK.
