It's always a sad sight to see an animal caged in... I think you've managed to make this piece quite poignant in that sense. I like the angle and how it's somewhat tipped, as if to emphasise that the monkey's world isn't right, as such...
The way the claw is through the bars itself suggest a want for something, and the expression is quite... eh.
It would be interesting to see the effect of a play in the colours, if that makes sense.
