Mark V: Hi all, just tweeking some halo stuff
. Im going to get back to the Halo comic, just brushing up on textures, and rigging some other characters. Im also putting some thought into the story. Spartan rigged and posed in Max,Lighting and enviorment set-up and final render Max/ Postwork, filters, color ajust and and some final ajust CS2. Thank you for all the comments they mean alot

very nice picture, good detailing. this picture was made around the time of Halo3, is that correct? the partially hidden armor and partial view of the eyes and nose through the HUD really capture the mood of anger. weapon choice is debatable, but adequate.

Very awesome job. Mk V was pretty awesome
I don't think visors slid. I believed they polarized if I remember correctly.
The glowing eyes call back the SPARTAN augmentations to help them see in the dark. Good accuracy.
And yes, you used Lost Planet assault rifles. I think maybe the MA5s would give it greater feel.

Thanks, the visor flip was something I added (artistic choice) this was before ODST, where you see the visor switch transparent to hud mode. However the Spartan visor dose not have the same features as the ODST, according to what Ive read they dont have a transparent mode. Yeah I used the LP guns, I agree the MA5s would have made this render more HALO

I can't begin to describe how EPIC this piece actually is. You've captured the feeling of Halo in all it's massive glory. This spartan however reminds me of the new protagonist from Halo: Reach. Well in any case I'll be checking your gallery and

No I use 3D Studio Max, but I think you can download a demo?? not sure.. try there web-site, good luck.
