One of the keyframes I worked on for the film. This image made it to the book but it was kinda dark so I wanted to make this available to how it should be viewed- without the book spine right down the middle! Hope you guys like it!ΒRelated content

Ahh thank you so much.. Yeah that spine really messes it up.. but on the other hand it was my first full page spread 
But thank you so much for buying the book and supporting the artists. Working in films, sometimes we dont get any credits in the art books. I am glad that Marvel makes sure that our names are right bellow the image.Β

well....i am so happy, that you get credit for it. I knpw how hard it is to be in games or movie development.....i gave it up working only two years for a small company doing commercial-conceptart and so on......i just went broke so fast.....now i work as an art-teacher.....
hearing that someone so good got an job so satisfiing is awesome......and overall you did it for one of my favorite fiiiilms oooow O.O

Haha yeah my name does sound German huh.. I got the idea for the name a while back when I started off as a creature designer.. when I only designed creatures/monsters. I found out what uber meant and thought that that would be a cool name and easy to remember, and expressed how super my monster designs are ..haha so confident..Β

Ooh! Yeah! This is the picture I really like in the art book! I love how you did Gamora's face. The movie Gamora was really cool but the face you chose for her in these is really interesting to me. I can't recall if you said she was an actual model or if you just made her up though.

I was actually trying to get a likeness of Zoey Zaldania.. but it was hard to find reference of her with the right expression.. so in a way it is made up expression but with reference of what I can find of the actress. I used a different design for her facial pattern because during the time I was painting her there was nothing approved yet

So powerful. Β I love the emotion that just drips from this scene. Β I was recently listening to a podcast by Kevin Smith where he was talking about how he watches Guardians at home and every time he's crying at this scene. Β His wife was less than understanding, but I was. Β Again, so awesome to see some of your inspiration went into this.

Hey I wanted to ask, I have been trying to figure out DA and I wondering how people get daily deviations? Is it like a contest? Do you submit the work to someone? Coz I wanted to submit this image or my baby groot image. I dont think I ever got a daily deviation

Man, I wish I knew that secret, man. Β From what I've read (and this was a few years ago, so things might have changed), someone needs to suggest your deviation to the admin in charge of that particular category of art. Β I'll look into it, and if I can, I'll post my suggestion for your work. Β
