Got to agree about its expression - it's like when a cartoon character is so surprised their eyebrows disappear above their hairline, only in this case it's the disappearing ears of shock.
Also I am extremely jealous now of your extensive contact with all these awesome African exotics. I feel I'm missing out on a great life experience...

as for jealousy sounds like you need to get yourself on a plane to SA - wild and domesticated exotics everywhere, and vet students can pretty much do what they like out there. it's not as expensive as you might think to get and stay there either.
