In the stories from the Northwest, Raven is the original prankster. Yet he's much more than a Loki-esque jester. He brought fire into the world, and was the first spirit animal tobe encountered by humans. He is perhaps the most important character in First Nation history, and similarly represents a crest symbolising wit, intelligence and cunning.
