I used to live in Herne Bay & rode up to there many times. Lovely seeing it again but wonder how long it will remain standing with all the erosion going on sadly.

My aunt used to live between here and Herne Bay so I visited it quite often when I was a child. Brings back nice memories.

For your information, Reculver abbey was built some miles away from the sea. Over the years the sea gnaw away the land in this area, and if it wouldn't be fortified against the sea like it is now, the abbey would be taken by the sea and would be destroyed.
