Description
Artist: Jo ChenThis image was created as a limited edition powerfoil cover for the Street Fighter II #1 comic book.
Although the U.S. version of Street Fighter calls him 'Evil Ryu', Capcom Japan has let us know that their preference is the term 'Dark Ryu'.... meaning that he's been corrupted but isn't instantly evil.

Yeah, sort of. Satsui no Hadou ni Mezameta Ryu, Evil Ryu, whichever it's best you like to call him. It does seem to look like a good picture, but I'm not faving it, because I'm not a Ryu fan.

Ah, I like Ryu... But I think that Capcom blew up his personality on the Street Fighter OVAs (where he fights, but hates to do so)... In my opinion he's way more cool in the animated serie Street Fighter Victory... (Even if he takes about 1 hour to do a Hadouken, which is a tiny little blue energy ball, and not the Hadouken we know... XPPP)
But, as favourite Street Fighter character, no one beats Vega... XDDD (I mean Vega the Spanish, not Mr. Bison - that is called Vega on japanese versions)

I thought he was called "Satsui No Hadou Ni Mezameta Ryu", which loosely translates as "Murderous intent awakened within Ryu"...

Whatever floats your boat, I say. Capcom USA has a way changing things around when it comes to street fighter to the point that characters have identity crises. Luckily the Blanka-Charlie fiasco was worked out.
