The soft greens and browns of the adventuring frog and blurred background nestled up pleasantly against the stronger greens and blues of the painted surface. The surface itself is crumbling and beginning to give itself over to lichen, as nature slowly and patiently reclaims what was hers.
The frog is the second wave of this gentle invasion, and he clambers onto the wood with an inquisitive look out towards the camera, his face nicely centred.
The picture works well as the colours of the paint are not so strong as to overcome the more subtle tones of the frog. The image achieves a nice sort of balance .
