Description ...based on something I wrote a few weeks ago. I don't know why but I just had an urge to animate it...somehow.

I didn't realise it when I started making it but it turns out this is the first emoticon that I've managed to finish in a few years.

I almost forgot how satisfying (and frustrating) it can be to animate down on the pixel level.

I actually can't believe when I first saw this that I thought it didn't deserve a DD. But now, after working with pixel art for quite a while, this is absolutely amazing.

First off, the animation is simply appalling. It's so incredibly smooth and well done. Secondly, the text art. I personly find it rather difficult to do anything with text on the pixel scale, so the fact that it's animated in such a way as this with so many effects is amazing. Thirdly, I love the fact that the emote has no shading. It represents that no matter who you are, this counts for you.

I think it's like most things...until you try something for yourself you don't always appreciate the effort that went into something. You should see the completely unimpressed looks I get from my mates when they see this kind of pixel animation work lol.

It's genuinely nice hearing when someone has spotted those subtle little things in something you made. Makes all that pixel tweaking worth while

Yea. I show it to my friends and they're all like "That's cool." And walks away. I've always found though the more you try it, the more you appreciate it.
