Thank you for the positive comments. I do try to do realistic-looking drawings, though I'm no Rembrandt. If you have not done so, you might want to check the 'My Artwork' folder in my gallery. You could see have I have progressed in the past few years, though I do not often emphasize shadowing. A note of (potential) caution: occasionally I post a drawing I did months or even a year or more ago, before I changed some aspect of my drawing technique, such as my subjects' noses.
