I can see it now... Janitors show up early, expecting Mike to just be coming out, shaking in his boots. Only for an eerily cheerful night guard to walk past, the band only taking their places once he leaves the lot.

Well, I always pictured the pizzeria's janitors as being part of one of those no-questions-asked cleaning companies that doesn't care if it's puke or blood and guts, so long as they get paid. As a result, they're used to the night guard either shivering like a leaf in a roomful of cats, or running out screaming about demon 'bots from Satan's nightmares... if they leave at all.
A cheery, whistlingΒ night guard, and decidedly freaked out murderbots? ...That's a different outcome entirely.
