I originally was going to use Eridan's blood color for the center, but I decided to mix the red and blue shades instead. Then I found out they actually do make Eridan's color when mixed. HUSSSSIIIIE. XD

Yup. It's kinda hilarious to me, actually. Although technically the colors on Sollux's red and blue shades are both lighter than Eridan's color and not perfectly spaced from it -- Red=b30000, Blue=001e82, Violet=6a006a. The colors for Erisolsprite's glasses ARE, however, perfectly spaced from the violet, though they're still lighter in shade. Red=800000, Blue=000080.

Yeah, when I mixed them it was the slightest bit lighter than Eridan's, but pretty close. XD So I just used Eridan's violet because... you know, this was meant for my friend's EriSol thing on her page, so, made sense to just use the violet.
Don't worry, I only use canon colors either, I never guess. On my color wheel I use, I have every color for Eridan and Sollux saved, plus the humanstuck colors I had to make myself. |D

*laughs* I just have sheets and sheets of sprites and hero-modes of pretty much every character saved. And if I ever need another character, I go to the wikia, nab the sprite, and add it into one of them. I'm also working on a "Complete Homestuck Color guide" with all of the characters' blood colors, text colors, other body colors in the case of the trolls, and outfit colors -- and corresponding gradients for each one to be used when shading. I'm pretty obsessed with this, I suppose... XD
Did you know that the ceruleanbloods and navybloods have text colors that are ten whole degrees off from the hue of their blood colors? And that only the Amporas, the Pyropes, the Leijons, Kankri, the Captors, the Nitrams, and the Megidos type in exactly their blood color? That's only just over half of the trolls that accurately hemotype. It amuses me.
