What saddens me is the fact that people in the States, especially young ones, don't rebel anymore. They don't demonstrate, like they did in the 60s and 70s, although the analogy is more or less the same as far as US foreign policy is concerned...

They did the wall street occupy about couple years ago, but protests don't change anything it is just a reactionary thing, to bring down all the madness going on in the world we must stop feeding the system. We must step away from it. There is an awakening going on in the world, many people is getting aware about what is really going on, and with all the information available about it, people is starting to make steps in their personal lives that is actually the real protest or rebellion if you will against all the wrong things.

Yes, if the protest is moved with consciousness will raise awareness, but still the powers to be have used tactics like infiltrate trouble makers within the crowd to start mayhem to bring down the cause, you probably have already seen things like this. In street protests is very difficult to keep order, some people moved by emotion may join the trouble makers, we all have seen it. Im not saying we shouldn't protest, yes we should protest. It is although important to keep in mind those details.
The real change is within ourselves, it will reflect around us, it will touch the consciousness of others helping others to change too, this movement or awakening or revolution, is happening, search on internet for information about what is going on in the world and why, there is plenty, that information is what helps us to understand the world, ourselves, and it is the key for this change within. Knowledge is power, lets take it back.
There are several links in the group BreakingTheIllusion main page for info, also the group blogs have important topics.Β In your case I would recommend search topics about bank cartel or banking scam or IMF and so on, your country is been victim of that and you are a witness, so it is a very good start point, if you haven't already been reading about it.

Not only reading about it, been writing about it, too. Greeks are VERY political human beings, so there is always discontent and protest - in fact, we are a thorn in the EU masters' sides. Couldn't break us emotionally or socially, so they are trying the financial card. Doesn't fly too well, either - on the contrary, gives rise to more radical and leftist movements, another thorn for their sides.

I've used this argument for some time against those who advocate attacking Iran. the only valid, but lame point they bring to bear against the overwhelming difference is Iran's support for Hamas... so it attacks Israel by proxy.
Β I then usually point out that I can produce a FAR longer list of terrorist orgs that the US has supported over the decades and even recently including Alqeda in Syria and in Libya...
but the facts seem to make little impact on those afraid for their lives that Iran might get one nuke one day maybe and kill us ALL!

Unfortunately not, didn't took much time researching Iran history, just the part about they been peaceful for the last 200+ years, but you can find some videos at www.presstv.ir about its history.
Sadly the imperialist isn't just from US which actually is a victim(the people been kept in the dark and its resources manipulated) but very important part of a much bigger picture. Even bigger imperialist is what is called today as EU, and yet it isn't the head of the snake but just a tool of divide, conquering and plunder, just look to what they did to Greece and Cyprus, the head of it all did that, and look to what they are doing to the middle east, and everything else.
