I've been enjoying painting dreamlike, almost hallucinogenic images lately, and this contest presented the perfect opportunity. Myself as the caterpillar of Alice in Wonderland.Related content

I think this is stunning, so mystical and exotic and captures the mood and shifts of hallucinations. I also really like the dark tones and the shape of the body, very graceful yet also a bit vulopteous

Awesome color combinations and composition. The arms could be better, but it's a little detail in such a great piece.

Really digging the colours and shape of your caterpillar form... but the composition is a little blah... I wish I could have seen a few more levels and dimension when you have done it so well in other pieces. Perhaps playing around with a little more foreground imagery, obscuring a bit of the view of the caterpillar may have made the mysterious quality a little more affective. The luminous colours are quite breathtaking, though. I'd like to experiment with them myself.

Ahhh, I love the originality of this piece. I've seen too many people just putting themselves in the mad hatter's clothes. But you took my favourite character and made it your own. Simply beautiful.
