Description No one at court knows what exactly befell the poor, beautiful young Duchess of Ashenspire, but rumors spread like wildfire when she failed to make a public appearance for nearly four months. Many had heard, and rightly, that she'd lost both her legs. Her admirers mourned and her rivals rejoiced, assuming that both the Duchess's social prospects and informal rank as Queen of High Fashion were surely at an end. And so it was a glorious shock to all when she finally returned to court, fully mobile and more richly dressed than ever in her equestrian prosthetic of gold, brass, mother-of-pearl, leather, and silk. It turns out the magitech engineers of Ashenspire are nothing to scoff at.

Considering they wrote that in 2017 and I posted this in 2016, and they favorited this piece...I'm thinking they may have gotten some inspiration from me XD

I faved this when I first found it, just a few days ago. It's wonderful work.Β  I wish I had found it long ago and don't understand how I could have missed it.Β  I'll start watching so it won't happen again.Β

Much of my inspiration came from JKrolak

I'm not familiar with that artist, I'll have to check them out The last couple of times I've had people saying my work looked like it was inspired by someone else, that person created their similar work much later than I did and evenΒ  listed me as an influence, but happened to be much better at marketing themselves and much more prolific So, sorry for any defensiveness, I do tend to lean towards that when it comes to stuff like this.

I've never been good at networking and really spreading my work around, so a lot of the time when a subject I've portrayed gets depicted by a more popular artist later, I find myself accused of getting the idea from them. Even if all someone is really saying is "hey! Cool! This reminds me of that," I kinda go into that mindset.

It's interesting, though, how certain themes and ideas seem to sweep through groups of people in waves, and it's always cool to see different people's versions of related concepts.Β

I greatly enjoy that you included a story to go with the piece. Which is also fantastic. The details in the tech and fabric are wonderful!
