I am trolling through your gallery at the moment and enjoying the superior color work. You know it has to be good if you regularly get paid to do it. So...take that away from this first and foremost. I looked at this image too long. I got entranced by Angela and I am guessing Keres by the tags, but I thought the girl on the left was Liesel Van Helsing. Anyway, I started noticing stuff (and kind of wish I hadn't) and thought about if I should comment or not. Based on how long I thought about if I should, I probably shouldn't (my grandmother said if you had to think about IF you should say something...you probably shouldn't), but here I go anyway. You won't hurt my feelings if you hide the comment! Your lighting is off. The underside of both arms are lit up too much, as if the light source was directly in front of them. The lower torso highlights would be lighter if that was the case. Speaking of which, the highlight on Keres lower abs is too light...if it's that light, then the corresponding area of the shorts should be light as well...but the corresponding parts of the shorts are actually darker. The top of Angela's right breast is shaded. That, being a smooth plane from top of the breast, should be highlighted, while the edge of the breast going into the shirt at the cleavage would be darker. Right now...it's like she has a mini light just under the scoop of the shirt on her right side. That all falls in the colorist's court. The next three comments...I am not as sure if they do or not. Angela's crew cut...seems to lack texture. Would it get noticed on a comic book cover. Probably not. But some stippling or other texture would make it look more like hair. For as many layers of color as there are in the bottles, they look kind of flat...meaning...they don't look translucent. (No...I don't know how to suggest to get that look! I'm just a critic!) Lastly, the background seems...I don't know...kind of flat? Not exactly flat as in the 'flats' that colorists use as a coloring base, but flat as in...lacking...energy? The girls are comic book photo realistic (I hope that makes sense). The background...just looks...I am at a loss of words (go figure)...paint by numbers? I don't like that phrase. I find it pretty insulting, which is NOT what I am going for. But the sky...looks real. The mountains...well...don't. Again, you do superior work. And if I hadn't stopped on this page to look closer, I wouldn't have even given it a second thought. But once I did, I couldn't stop myself.
