A most sombere scene, the lovely Lady alone amidst the sure signs of emptiness and decay with only these five forbidden fruits for companions. There seems a strange secret symbolism to the number of the pentacle associated with fruits with a similar geometry of five so closely pressing this Lass tight with her back tot he wall. Some sense the the pentagram acting in concert with the pomme have painted the solitary Mistress into a corner.
