Description Greedy Brainy!!

me and my partner dont really like the crusts in a loaf of bread, we will eat it if we have to but it useually goes to the rats.

i dunno if i should be worried or not about the porhin (i think thats how you spell it) around his nose..

I love to fight wth my own rat for piece of bread

I think you needn't be worried about the porhin - there isn't much of it and after sleeping it's quite normal that you can see some.

I always give the bread heels to my rats.. and my sandwich crusts. ...And pretty much everything I probably should eat but don't want to >.>

Cute little greedy thing!

haha cute picture, It reminds me of when I was sat on my bed eating a pizza
and one of my rats ran out and tried to drag a huge slice back into their cage,
obviously i took it back off of him but it was so funny to watch ^_^

It could mean something, as others have said, but it could also just be because he'd just woke up. Rats get that like people get "sleep" in their eyes when they first wake up. So if you only see it when he wakes up, before he grooms, it's normal.

I hope you let the bread harden. I mean leaving it outside packaging for at least a few hours until it's hard. Fresh or soft bread can stick inside a rat's throat and they can suffocate on it. So always make sure bread is hard before letting rats eat it.
And the nose can mean that either the cage was close to the cleaning time, or there's too much dust or something in the room/bedding. That can irritate the nose and eyes. Dust and dirty cages.

you might be onto something their as the cage is due for a clean in the next few days, and thank you for the tip on bread, i useually give them fresh of the loaf. Although they usually dont get it like in the pic it gets cut up into croutons for them

Size doesn't matter as long as they'll eat it, just no fresh bread. Plus, dried it'll be crunchy and better for their teeth.
And yup, treat your rats like kids with mild asthma, they need a place that's low on dust or dust-free.

LOL so cute <3
Don't worry about the stuff around his nose, My rats who are sadly not with me anymore would get it sometimes.
Nothing serious.

a bloody sneeze eh?
my rats where having that too
my first had tumors and doc said it would be part of it
but my oldest rat got it too, is 4 years old and havent got any tumor in life
I think having bloody sneeze is just a genetic thing so dont worry^^

That's too sweet! And if he's not sneezing or hardly breathing I wouldn't be worried about it too much. It's just a thing which should be occupied. And always check out his breathing sounds by putting your rat right next to your ear. This way you can find out pretty fast if he's allright or not.

I was gunna mention that it looks like hes got a bit of a runny nose. But if he isnt sneezing a whole lot or acting lethargic i wouldnt be too worried. My rats sometimes got runny noses when the seasons changed too, so it may just be that. X3

Cute shot!
