Description
Established late in the Second Phase Expansion, this Heavy Burst Drone was the answer to the awkward limitations created by the Stealth Burst Drone.Wielding 2 standard sized burst cannons and a larger caliber burst cannon, this heavy drone serves as an excellent close to medium range support for any fighting force. The success of this Drone; between its speed, size and firepower, prompted the Tau to develop the Remora Aerial Combat Drone.
This is my creation. A Tau Heavy Drone, kitbashed with leftover pieces from my Tau Army as well as others.
The main shield is a leftover from a Tallgeese Gundam model and the main chaingun, and inner mechanics are leftovers from a Tachikoma figure from Ghost in the Shell.
The camera does not do this one justice. But I'd imagine to come across this beast, which is just as wide as the Remora body, would be quite frightening.

Just played around with a look that resembled the Tau and went from there.
You can just look at the bits leftover and see if anything clicks when you look at the pieces.

That is cool, maybe you should try paint, Black and Grey camouflage.

Yeah its got some interesting colors that you really cant see. The actual body is painted in "Polly's" Grimy Black, so it's not quite as dark as Chaos Black, but still gives a nice SpecOps feel to them.
Not sure about the Urban camo scheme. I did it on one of my Remora's, but I'm still iffy on its overall look.

Well those 1/144th scale Gundams definitely work well. I mean they are pretty close to the same size as the XV-8s.
I guess if you ever wanted something similiar to Farsights blade, you could find a match in the Gundam models.

actually, if I remember right, there was an old stock pile sale for those miniature gundams that would come with the model space ships. their guns were perfect for firewarriors!
