This is pretty accurate, but I feel that my Dovakiin is an alright parent.
I always have a housecarl (Also a husband/wife if I decide to marry) to look over them when I'm gone. I always have two kids so they have a friend, I always allow them to keep pets they find, they almost always will have Meeko as a friend, I try to always have gifts for them when I return. They always get an allowance that should be a reasonable amount, and when I do ask them to do chores sometimes I cave and let them skip. when I find them fighting I always break it up and stay neutral. If they ask me to play I almost always agree (Unless it's really late, then yes, go to bed, I still have to be a parent sometimes)
The best part? This applies to all of my Dovakiin. I have a Dark Elf, vampire lord, assassin who steals and kills for a living. Did every daedric quest line without question, pickpockets and steals from anyone she can. Will murder you if you piss her off or a dark brotherhood contract. She is one of my most evil characters... Yet she is a loving mother and wife and treats her kids like any other caring mother.Β

Wait. I donβt remember my kids fighting? Does that happen?π
And I actually did give them everything they wanted. Itβs just that interactions were shallow and I explored everything pretty quickly. Never found anyone I wanted to marry. Only Brynjolfπ. Hired Aela as a steward but then a bug made her return to the companions and I noticed to late. My kids still had an ugly housecarl who I didnβt care about, though.

Yeah, if you have two kids there is a chance you can catch them fighting.
You can break it up or just ignore them and things escalate.

All Dragonbors are neglectful parents game wise, this reminds me I haven't gone to my house in Solitude for a while, good thing the kids I adopted have company and live in a city.

Awww. Is there anyone else in the house to keep her company? The steward? Housecarl? Anyone?

Nope. Just Meeko. Just being true to how it was in my game. My steward Aela dumped me.

No story there. She glitched and went back to the companions. It was too late by the time I realised as... well... I would have lost about six weeks progress reloading.

I never adobted children for some weird reason and the one time I did, the game bugged and she never arrived at my house. But it would've been awesome if there was a mini-game where the children had mood meter based on activities you did with them. They would either adore or feel neglected or something like that.

I'd feel too guilty playing like this. But I like what you've done!Β
