Part of "OCtober" - my original character-centric event for the month featuring alternate universe variants of Dark Avenger.
Corpse joins Desperado Avenger's universe as an undead lawman.

Hoping to find peace and acceptance, Eddie Smith left the South and traveled west in search of a new future, but was attacked and horribly scarred by toxic chemicals. No one knows what happened next, not even Eddie. Days later, he crawled out of the desert, not dead, but not quite alive. Determined to create a safe haven for all people, he became sheriff of a small town, with his appearance putting fear into those who would prey on the fearful.

When the citizens under his care learn to see his past appearance, they find Corpse is an easy-going, soft-spoken, intelligent man, doing the best he can to provide a loving community for people from all walks of life to thrive in.

This version of Corpse lacks his original's auxiliary powers, but he is seemingly unable to feel pain and no weapon seems able to kill him, only stop him briefly. He's relentless in his pursuit of justice and long-lasting peace.
