Description

Clark Jerome Joseph Kent is The Marvelous Superman of Earth–Α2ΔΣ–′78 and the premier superhero of the Action & Adventure Comics universe, wearing The S.T.A.R. Labs Solar Suit.

The Action & Adventure Comics project aims not to radically reinvent, dissect, or lambast the world’s greatest superheroes, but to celebrate them. Distilled from the best versions of themselves across 75+ year histories and removed from “comic book time” and “negative continuity”, characters age, learn, and evolve in a cohesive series of narratives. In an imprint named for classic Superman titles, heroes act like heroes and get to save the day.

The Azure E.S.P.′er –
"This is the first teaser for the superheroes of Earth–Α2ΔΣ–′78: The Action and Adventure Comics project. This is my version of a “modernized” Superman. Think of it as a logical alternative to The Earth One OGN series or The DCEU. For inspiration, I’ll cite Mark Waid’s “Superman: Birthright”, Kurt Buseik’s “Superman: Secret Identity”, and Grant Morrison’s “Action Comics: Superman and The Men of Steel”. Notably, as this is meant to be a more realistic and relatable take on the character – Clark Kent has, surprisingly, never once considered murdering anyone. Nor will he, in all likelihood, do so in the future.

For those of you whom might be wondering, this is only one of his main costumes. He will retain his “classic” suit as an option. John Henry Irons and Emil Hamilton personally designed the solar suit for Superman to monitor his physiology, assist in his absorption and metabolism of solar radiation, and maintain his heroic visage, when he was unable to wear his mother’s suit, for whatever reason. The solar suit and many other classic comic book gadgets and gizmos are a result Superman’s official, mutual, public partnership with S.T.A.R. Labs – hence, the name."

UltimateLomeli –
"The first character from a new universe from the mind of
His designs and stories brought to life by my art. I’m having a blast working with him on all these. I made a new template specifically to match these larger than life heroes. The design harkens back to a simpler time, while being updated and modern enough to not look out of place. Stay posted for more!"

Note - As this set of micros was commissioned, please refrain from using any parts. Thanks.

Anyone who says you can't make an unambiguously good, noble, and heroic Superman story that manages to present the character as relatable and the story logical and interesting... surprisingly, needs to read more comic books.

Or, you could just make an incomprehensible three hour snuff film. That works, too.

Yaaay ~ Superman!
It's not popular to say, but Superman is one of my favorite superheroes. It's especially unpopular to say, but it's because Superman is unambiguously GOOD. We live in a world of super problems, so we made up a super-man to solve them. He's helped me become a better person just through his example.
Ultimate Lomeli did an excellent job at rendering my neo-classic Superman costume (not dissimilar to Grant Morrison's design for the never-to-be "Superman 2000". It's gorgeous and I Love it. Now, I need to watch that new episode of Supergirl I missed.

One of my favorite heroes as well. Used to watch the old Superman movies with my mother whenever they were on TV, and I'd watch the DCAU, of course. One of the heroes I aspire to be like, and it's a shame that we just don't see too many good portrayals of him, and I think you're right, that it's because he is good incarnate, but shouldn't we want that from a hero? Glad we were able to work on this together.
