I simply MUST ask about how many polys both of those models are. and by polys I mean triangles.

1.9 million on GL (that includes all his drills that have a turbosmooth with 2 itterations on them)

that's a bit much for either of them to be honest. I was expecting it to be only 10k considering it's rather simple. (I would think Dai Gurren would be like 30k tho.) what is it without the turbosmooth on?

Unfortunately they changed the way they do the poly count since the last version (personally I think it sucks)
but without any of his drills, GL's about 400k tris
I think a big factor might be that I used spheres with a high number of faces (like 32 and 48)

think you can pull the model down to 8k bychance? I has ideas to put these to good use. (also 'nother question, is Gurren rigged and weighted?) :3

lol awesome!! XD you did a real nice job with this~ makes me think of a video game like style... and makes me wish even more that gurren lagann was a like a console game >_> and still kept it's really cool flare xD
