I'd say the only reason why Q*bert isn't in Smash is because he has no arms, which would limit his moveset a bit.

Two iconic video game characters from The Golden Age of Video Games in the early 1980's. They were both in movies, "Pixels" and "Wreck-It-Ralph". Pac-Man is more well known than Q*bert and made way more games.
