Description Forklift thing. The idea is to have a multipurpose arm, rather then a fork, slaved to an armature manipulated by the driver.
Essentially a crude exoskeleton mashed together with a bobcat loader.

seems like a cool concept, though i think two arms would be better, but i'm no engineer or anything so that may just be rambling.

The reason for one arm only is because the other hand is reserved for vehicle control. Driving it precisely with just the feet, while manipulating something with both arms seemed like it would be far too impractical to make it a working concept - think trying to steer a car without using a steering wheel. However, I am not an engineer either
